i currently have sheetcam on my commandcnc linux machine, how do i update to the latest software version please?
The latest versions are on www.sheetcam.com download page.
but see also this thread- Is V7.1.40 downloadable for Linux? - #6 by Les_Newell
Thanks Iāll have a look, the issue I have with my version is that sometimes it doesnāt let me choose a drawing to open
Iāve just checked and my system is 32bit so Iāve got the latest already 6.1.57 are there any updates due Les?
I am having the same issue lately. Running CommandCNC 32 bit. I have deleted a lot of files and still when I go to New Part the menu pops up to look for the files but nothing shows up. I have to reboot sometime several times just to get the .svg files to show up.

Anybody have a fix for this. When I call up Sheetcam and > New Part the menu box shows where my Files are but nothing shows up (the box shows up but no list of files, and yes I am pointing to where they are). I have to reboot may 2 times to get it to show the files. Frustrating.

this will most likely need advice from @Les_Newell .
But just to be sure, sometimes in my Windows ver of sheetcam, I will go to Import a drawing and not āseeā the files Iām expecting in the folder only to notice that the file type selector was not set for the correct file type Iām looking for, ie. DXF vs. SVG. Just a thought.
Iām exactly the same as TJ, turning computer on and off numerous times to be able to use it.
I have been doing this for years. Yes it is the correct file type, nothing has changed in my file type or process.
I will supply screen shots if required.
Bringing this back up. Is there any help on this. I have cleaned out a lot of files which I thought was causing performance issues. Possibly a RAM issue ?
Thanks.

I suspect this is a linux build or config issue, but I have escalated it in our sheetcam customer support staff.
Hopefully this screen shot will get some attention. It takes forever to get a āNew Partā going. I have to reboot approx 3 or more times.
Here are the screen shots. When doing a new Part, nothing shows up no matter what I do. Even changing places does not work. Everything is dead.
Should I start a new topic. This is very annoying having to reboot several times for sheetcam to work as it should and to be able to cut items out. It is NOT permissions, it is not pointing the the incorrect folder. It is the correct extensions. I have a lot of gigs left. I have posted in other forums and most of the responses are basically āyou donāt know what you are doingā comments. Or that is not how you create a post.
This topic has been here sitting idle for weeks.
Mine is doing exactly the same thing, very annoying
I have no idea what is going on here. Does file->import drawing work?
Yes same. See screen shots. File> Import Drawing does not work either. I have to reboot about 3 times for my drawings to show up.
I have issues with this if I create a drawing in certain programs. I opens up the file name but can never see the drawing. Not a Linux OS but windows.
My work around is to open it in a program I donāt have issues with and re-save it.
May not be your issue but a thought?
I am using Inkscape. I create SVGās as CommandCNC recommends. This version of Inkscape has been on my table PC for over 8 years (came with the Command CNC package). Never had an issue. My laptop (not connected to the table) has a new version of Inkscape that I have been running for about 2 plus years. Never had an issue loading the drawings from a jump drive. I do not like the newest version of Inkscape so I will stay where I am at for now.
Is it saving vas a plain SVG or one for exclusive to inkscape?
