Just got back into the metal fab game after a 5 year hiatus. I downloaded the newest version of sheetcam (V 8) and installed the license I bought 6 years ago (installed via “help” tab then “install license file”). Sheetcam said it was installed successfully, and I closed and reopened sheetcam. I tried to post process my project file and consistently get the “evaluation limit reached” message. Does anyone know if I need an updated license, or should my old one work? Thanks in advance for any help.
V8 release has been a fiasco. A V7 license appears to work on V8, but it does in fact not work. To use V8 you need to start over and purchase a completely new license. There is no upgrade path.
Unless you need nesting or 2d cad, I’d stick with v7. From what I’ve seen, the added features in v8 are buggy and not very refined. The nesting function doesn’t seem to work very well.
