HOLDING TABS trouble Plasma table

Hello. I am having trouble with holding tabs. I set and place them but when I cut my part out on my plasma table the tabs come out significantly larger. For example. I set a .020" tab and it came out closer to .5". Can anyone help shed some light on this dilemma? Thank you

I worked with @Csdrag on this and there were a couple of issues found-

  1. the scale factor on his drawing was wrong, had inches and mm conflict.
  2. tab length is a function of kerf width + the programmed tab length when cutting with such small tabs. using V7.1.40.
  3. tabs turned out to be lessor of a solution for what he was trying to achieve, which was to keep the part from dropping loose during a plasma cut. Tabs in plasma process will cause a second pierce without a leadin when the torch jumps over the tab area. The better solution is to use a negative Overcut in the Jet Operation, which will always occur at the end of the cut, and this ‘undercut’ tab will keep the part from dropping without a second pierce.

Lou helped me with my issues. First I updated to V7.1.40. However, the conclusion through a very good discussion was to avoid tabs command and to enter a negative value in the overcut box in the jet cutting window. This will create a tab by entering the negative value and provide me with what I was looking for. I still have to run a part but we think this will also help eliminate the divet that is left after completing the plasma cut. Once I test and get results I will try and post results. Lou was a big help.
