I exported a file out of Fusion in DXF format to Autocad and then saved it. When in SC, I go to import a file as usual (yes it is DXF) and nothing shows up. I have tried numerous times, rebooted, etc. No luck. Attached is the file. Please let me know.
No, I have done this numerous times without issue. The file opens in ACAD without any issue. For whatever reason, it exports from Fusion in Metric and I use ACAD to convert to inches. I can still open other files exported from Fusion in Sheetcam with no problem. I realized I couldn’t attach the file, but would love to see if someone else can open it in Sheetcam. Thanks
I started over in Fusion and drew the part again with and named it differently. Exported it as a dxf and it looks perfect/normal when viewed in Autodesk Autocad. When I try to import it to Sheetcam, there is no image as seen in the attached. Any suggestions?
Well, It got resolved a little while ago. It seems that the Fusion software has two separate ways to create a dxf file. One is in the 3D modelling mode and the other is in the flat pattern 2 mode. I wasn’t aware of this until it was pointed out to me today.
It is now resolved and Sheetcam properly imported the dxf attached. Tube Copeing .job (59.7 KB)
