Burny 2.5 Plus CNC Nestings

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Please i am in serious need of help with my Burny 2.5 Plus CNC Plasma amchine,

I have sheetcam that i am pathing parts in but when i transfer the file to the machine via link through the RS232 cable that is connected. It accepts the file but the part it runs looks nothing like what i have nested. It keeps trying to cut circles after the first part and if i nest a part with holes it oversizes the holes and doesnt complete the part. This also happens if i have more than 1 part nested then the first part will cut but the second part it tries to cut it out as if it is a large circle.

I need help with this please as i have checked the G-code going to the machine and it is all correct but this is happening everytime now and i have massive worked waiting for the machine and i cannot do anything with it as it wants to cut circles all the time.

Also meant to add. If i program a part directly on the machine i have no problems at all but need to start running non standards part that are not repeated and i am having to cut them all individually. and nothing can have a hole in or else it tries to scale that hole 12 times bigger than what it should be.

are you using Sheetcam plugin DNC or EdingCNC to conduct the file transfer to your machine ?

What post processor are you using?

Hi Sorry for the delay in responding,

I am using basicDNC to transfer to the machine.

To Les’ point-
a) what post processor are you using? If you’ve modified it, please upload (post) a copy of it here.
b) what version of sheetcam ?
b) did the post processor, sheetcam version, and DNC connection all work at some point prior to this now failing situation ? If so, what changed ? Nesting ? Please explain.

Good Morning Everyone,

I sat playing yesterday in the settings and found the M04 & M03 Firing option in sheetcam on the Burny 2.5 ABS post processor option was giving a Kerf error.

I swopped to the start Post processor and Edited the M07 & M08 firing option to M04 & M03 and also changed Kerf values on sheetcam and the machine is running now properly.

This was a G-code error
