Trying to use the v8 auto nesting. Do I need to assign an operation to each part before I can use the auto nesting function?

Is it possible to edit the auto nesting? I realize I can add and subtract stuff from sheets but modifying the auto nesting would be easier i think
if editing the dxf of the ‘after’ autonesting result in a CAD prog (incl v8 CAD) is what you desire, I don’t believe that is possible.
Use 3rd party autonesting such as deepnest.io to edit nested dxf.
