Hi, I’m trying to use sheet cam with my baileigh pt-22. I can get the machine to run the code but it runs it miniature. I think the problem is my actual machine is not in the drop down menu on post processor, so I clicked the baileigh machine that is. Does anyone know a solution to be able to use sheet cam? Thanks

Hello Jordan,
we have 3 Baileigh post processors in our library, you’d have to try them. Also consider writing Baileigh to inquire.
I’ve contacted baileigh and they told me I’d have to have the people at sheet cam.
To have them write me a custom post processor.
We do write custom post processors, fee based work.
Hopefully one of the existing model versions available can be easily adapted for much less effort.
Either way, it starts with understanding the controller gcode specifications and requirements, usually found in the user guide. There is a pdf available on their website but it’s not accessible without a userid. I’ve written them to request a copy.
@Metalfabjunkie51 (Jordan), you were copied on the email from Baileigh where they sent us the pdf of the user guides. I looked through them as well as the gcode examples.
The bad news is that the manuals don’t have sufficient gcode info or specs to fixup a post processor. And the gcode examples don’t have torch ON or OFF stmts.
All that said, the manual did mention that BobCAD/CAM website post processor download is named “Baileigh_Plasma_Richauto” for the PT22. I go there but I can’t download because a customer id is required. I was hoping I could glean from the code the torch stmts and other pertinent info. But interestingly, a gcode file example is displayed when selecting the pp to download, so I did learn from that exam that the 'Richauto and the 'Starfire pp flavors produce identical example gcode.
The good news is that you should be able to use the sheetcam pp named “Baileigh Starfire no arcs” for the PT22. Please give it a try and report back.
