Tool not found problem

When I generate a Gcode file this error occurs. I cannot tell if the file is broken or not and if the issue is critical. Notice that Tool 1 does exist in the tool table.

That is interesting. Could you send me the job file so I can take a look and see what is going on.

I attached the job file. It did the same with several jobs.

Well, that is odd. The problem is that you have remnant cutoff enabled (options->job options->Remnant cutoff) but you have no tool selected. The error message should tell you that you have no tool selected, rather than ‘tool 1 does not exist’.

This is strange indeed but this is what happened.

I used the 4.1.10 version with my directories all set to my file locations - that is always the same. Then I got the graphic problems and reverted back to 3.1.28 to finish the job. This job file was still the 4.0.10 job file. There is no setting on the 3.1.28 for remnant. But with using the same job file on both it does not show up on the 4.0.10 either. So I dont have such a setting on either package. I cant turn it off.
I installed the downloaded 4.0.10 on another computer and the menu option shows.
I almost thought that I was loosing it - finally!

The easy way to reset the problem is to activate the plasma option under machine options. Then go and turn the remnant cutoff option off. Turn the plasma option off again and all is fixed.
