sheetcam is no longer doing the outside cut as the last cut, it puts it in the middle of the cuts. I have it set to do outside cuts last but its still not working. this is a new issue. just started a few months back.
I’ve seen this behavior before but can’t recall the exact cause. I believe it’s a combination of settings, perhaps including Operation / ‘Cut path’ / ‘Cutting rules’.
please make a simple sheetcam test case to demonstrate the issue. Save it as menu File / ‘Save job’, and post the .job file here.
never mind the test case, ‘a’ cause for that behavior is Jet Operation / ‘Cut path’ / ‘Cutting rules’, using choice ‘Shortest path’. Apparently ‘shortest path’ does not override the usual desire of ‘inside first’ rule of plasma CNC, which appears to apply in all the other choices. That can make sense, I suppose. There are several ways to control toolpath sequencing in sheetcam.
