Simulation speed

is there a way to make the whole simulation speed faster
I use the plasma/ jet cutting tool
I like to watch the whole simulated cut but it takes way to long when there is a whole sheet full of lots of small parts even if I change FRO to 1000%
I used setup button to make the FRO speeds faster and it really moves now but the tool stops and waits nearly a second at each start point. So it kind of defeats the purpose of speeding up the simulation. On my simulation page under the “status” heading the “torch on” and “waiting” blocks are permanently ticked [ but greyed out ] so I cant untick them to remove it from the simulation and I think that’s what is slowing the process down.
Like I said I don’t know this is the “problem” or not.
I would just like way to have simulation fly through the sheet so I can see if my setup looks ok, if something looks off , I will slow it down and check again

A couple of behaviors about simulation to note…

  • it uses it’s own built-in post processor, so custom coding in the job post processor selection will NOT take place.
  • it does simulate based on values in standard (not custom) fields of the tool and operation definitions.
  • plunge rate may be too slow in your case, check it.
  • pierce delay may be too long, check it.

re. pierce delay- I had a client case the other day where he was using Mach3 configured to interpret delay time values as milliseconds instead of seconds, seconds being what sheetcam uses by default. He was compensating by using 1000x larger values in the Pierce Delay field of sheetcam tool definitions instead of changing the Mach3 setting. His simulation would have been very slow also.

hi lou , thanx for the reply , but what i wanted to know is how do i disable these two tick boxes , only during the simulation.

I’m guessing that those aren’t check boxes but are actually feedback from the simulator.
