Hello
After updating to the latest release, the program won’t run from the desktop shortcut. It will run fine if I navigate to the .exe file location.
I tried deleting the desktop shortcut and making a new shortcut, that didn’t work. Tried complete uninstall/reinstall, that didn’t help.
Any way to fix this?

I don’t know what is going on there. I just checked it here and it worked for me. Is anyone else having trouble?
Yes, I had to update the C++ runtime files and a couple of other things to get it to run.

I was able to fix the shortcut with the Microsoft compatibility checker. Don’t know how or why, but it works now.

What version of Windows are you using? Is it 32 bit or 64 bit?

I tried to get a screen shot of message , but it didn’t happen.
it said the program has a bug and to report it
Could you tell me exactly what the error message says. Is this Windows 10? If so it may be an idea to let it update.
I’m using Windows 10.
The message is; We are sorry but SheetCam TNG has uncounted an Internal Error. It would be very helpful if you could send a Debug report so we can try to find out what went wrong.
So Les the program worked for maybe a couple of weeks and on Saturday it ask to update so I did, so now I can open it up but its just not right and it show me the error message every time. I have very little computer skills so keep that in mind . When you say update want do you mean and how.

Hmm, it looks like SheetCam is starting but then immediately crashing. That gives me a bit of a hint what to look for. Unfortunately I can’t replicate this fault here.
Here is a link to a test version https://www.sheetcam.com/Download/SheetCamTNGtest.exe. When you run SheetCam it will pop up a series of messages with numbers in them. How far does it count to?

I installed that link and counted 7 messages and its working fine, Thank you. What do I have to do to move this program over to my machine in the shop that is off line and never goes online.

If that worked, try the development version you can download from https://www.sheetcam.com/downloads. Save the link to a USB drive. You can then transfer the USB drive to your other computer and run the installer.
