Scan Anything for PathPilot

Hi Les would you happen to have a version of ScanAnything that runs with PathPilot. It is a fancy version of LinuxCNC running on Linux Mint.

If the PathPilot release includes halcompile it should be possible. Scanything can use halcompile to automatically build a custom driver for that specific LinuxCNC version. I have to admit I’ve never tried it though.

There are a LOT of Tormach users out there AND a LOT of Users that use the PathPilot software to run there NON tormach machines. Might be a good time to try it out.

Can you create a no fuss installer to ease the pain of working with LinuxCNC ?

I can get it tested it IF you can create it.

Is PathPilot 32 bit or 64 bit? If you aren’t sure open a command prompt and run the command uname -p
If the result contains the number 64 it’s 64 bit.

If halcompile is installed Scanything will automatically build a driver the first time you run it. If halcompile is not available Scanything will fall back to one of it’s pre-built drivers. Every release of LinuxCNC needs it’s own build of the driver so it is quite likely that none of teh pre-built drivers that come with Scanything will work correctly.
