It would be great to be able to import an igs file into rotating plasma sheetcam and automatically deploy it.
Now you have to convert it into solidworks to sheet metal and prepare the cuts that match the edge of the tube that there is produced the cut to be able to deploy

The problem is that IGES is a 3D graphics format. Internally SheetCam only understands 2D. It would be a big job to change this.
I understand that it has to be a great job.
It would save a lot of time on jobs and Sheetcam could be sold by Rotary plasma 3D.
Could the 2D drawing somehow be the contours that remain open when it is rolled in a rectangular tube, for example in Sheetcam it will close automatically and consider it in a closed contour?
