problem with Z axis

Hi, I have a plasma table 48 X 52 inch with plasma everlast 80s, Proma thc, MACH3 registered and sheetcam software Registered.

I make a draw, sheetcam processor ( Mach3 thc… proma processor )

manual mode with mach3, all are ok, Z axis have a very good precision.

When i start with my draw, it’s letter draw ( MECANIQUE ), start with first letter are ok, but when it go to “E” the Z axis are bad, little bit to High, and it’s same thing for “C” again too high and stop to cut because the z axis are too high…

My Zero of Z axis are not in same place…

Thanks for help

David

Try using the ‘Mach3 plasma’ post and disable THC. Does it still tend to move upwards? If so, reduce your Z axis maxcimum speed or acceleration. If not the problem is THC/probing related. Let me know how you get on.

Yep you right, when I use mach 3 plasma processor and close the THC, it’s awesome ! My proma THC maybe like scrap… gggrrrrrr…

I don’t talk too fast… Maybe adjustment need …

Thanks

Do you know how I can adjust my proma thc like real THC ???

when i test in manual mode, the z up and down fastly but stay at +/- 1/4 inch on the work piece…

When i use it with a Draw, the Z axis up and up and up, after each little letter,
and my Zero ( Z axis) up to…

it’s like Mach3 does not load when the THC goes …

David

Keep the THC disabled and go back to teh THC post you were using. This will now use the surface probing. Does it cut correctly?

yes, cut very good !
Thanks
