post, rules, tool set, and setting locations???

I have crashed a hard drive which makes my system currently unbootable. I was able to recover most of the data and now I need some help please.

If you could point me to the location of the post file and the tool set that was currently being used, so I can copy it to a new installation. I know the (custom) name of my post and I can recreate the rules if needed.

This is all on a Windows 7 (should have been a recent version of Sheetcam) install and I think I will be going into a Linux install.

If there is other settings/files that could/should be transfered also I am open to input.

I know I should have a backup and I think I do somewhere. Sometimes things get tweeked slightly here and there and I have the files I just need to locate them.

In my Windows 7 32bit installation (SheetCAM Development), My config files are all under:

C:\Users{login-name}\AppData\Roaming\SheetCam TNG Development\

I would copy all in and under this location for toolset and custom posts, etc.

Non-development location could be:

C:\Users{login-name}\AppData\Roaming\SheetCam\

I believe the license file found in this location will need to be reinstalled via SheetCam. I don’t think a copy/paste will keep SheetCam happy.

As PK says, it is best to install the license through SheetCam. I’m not sure how well copying the ini file over will work. Most of the settings will be fine but if you are using the Linux version some of the stored directory paths may get messed up.

I was finally able to recover the drive and did a backup of the machine, post, and tools. Thanks for the help!!
