i have a laguna plasma table, the sheetcam laguna postprocessor does not work with it. I do have a sample .prg file that was on the machine. how would i create a postprocessor to output the file correctly, im sure im not the only one wanting to use sheetcam for a laguna machine. the plasma table is from aound 2015.

I looked at the .prg file you sent us on the support email. I see a few things in the gcode that differ from what ‘Laguna plasma.scpost’ will produce, and those gcodes can easily be changed. However, we don’t know the extent of change needed if other gcodes (those not used in the one .prg example) need attention also. The best way to handle this is to get the controller programming manual from the mfg. I searched the internet but did not find much. I called Laguna service line but was sent to a vru for a message (didn’t leave), will defer that to your handling please. I’ll modify the Laguna plasma pp based on what I see now, and post here in a few minutes.
Need to know:
- what controller brand and model ?
- need link to controller gcode programming manual.
- more examples of correct gcode files w matching dxf files.

ive read thru the laguna manual, all it seems to say is to use vectra vcarve software, which id like to avoid as im fairly fluent in sheetcam.
if by controller, you mean the control panel on the machine, it is a B&R Automation power panel 65, which i have not been able to find any gcode programming manual.
i do understand there is only so much that can be done with what i provided, so thanks again.
