offset on wrong side of line

done a part in nanocad software, put it into sheetcam, done all that is required to get the cut up and running but i notice that it want to cut on the inside of the hole(what i want) but directly on top of the other line that i want it to cut on the outside of, i have had a play with the inside offset, outside offset and still the same, it tells me it cannot offset open paths? so i have clicked on the offset open paths box and it want to cut on the inside of the line, cant get it to cut on the outside,

any thoughts

Open paths are shapes that don’t join up. In other words you have a break in our outline or the lines are overlapping. Turn on View-> show path ends and turn off View->show segment ends. You should see some white dots on your outline. If you zoom into the dots you will probably see the problem.

thanks les, any idea how i fix them so they join up?

You need to fix the breaks or overlaps in CAD.
