We absolutely love Sheet Cam. What a great piece od software. I’m in the process of moving from an older PC running Windows 7 to a new PC Running Windows 8. I tried, unsuccessfully, to install the originally issued license file and the plugin for the knife tool. What must I do to move Sheetcam to the new PC?

Do you still have a copy of the license file and the knife serial number? If so uninstall your old copy of SheetCam and install the license and serial number on your new version of SheetCam. Another way to do it is as follows:
On the old computer go to Options->plugin options->knife. Make a note of the serial number. Next go to Help->open settings folder. Move the license onto a memory stick (don’t copy it). On your new computer run SheetCam and go to Help->install license file. Using the box that appears navigate to your memory stick and open the license. Next go to Options->plugin options->knife and enter your knife serial number.
Hey, I have the same situation. New computer and need to activate the sheetcam. I looked on my old computer under options/plugin options and there is no “knife” there. What and I missing? I cannot find the licnece.dat file. Where would I have placed it for activation. Its been a while since I did that.
