I very seldom use notes unless it’s really important for that operation. But, since I don’t use the too often, I just don’t get into the habit of checking if one exist until it’s too late.
Since there is so much blank space in the “Basic” tab contour screen, would it be possible to put the Notes box there instead ?
Alternatively, if a note has been typed at the Notes tab, could the tab colour automatically change to alert the user that a note exists ?
Most of the operations have a fair amount going on in the basic tab so I don’t really want to add to the clutter.
I agree that changing NOTES tab color is the way to help here. Same thing - I don’t use notes as it is a pain to check if they are there everytime on every operation…
Vectric products have a feature with notes that if it starts with a “.” aka period, a popup appears as soon as you load the file with the notes in it. without the . , then it’s just regular note that you have to go look at.
I see some good ideas here. I’ll put it on the to-do list.
Changing tab colors can be problematic as you never know what colors the user may have their operating system set to use. However I don’t see many people using red text or red background.
