1)how do I set the size on sheet cam that matches my milling table 8x25"
2)what language should I export my files from solid works to sheetcam for a 3
Axis milling machine?
3)is there a tool path preview screen that shows a preview of the cuts.
Go to Options->job options->Material. Set the size in the size boxes then set the origin point in the ‘origin’ box.

You need to export a 2D dxf file. Create a drawing from your part then export it as a dxf. When converting a 3D part to a 2D drawing SW tends to create a lot of extra points and overlapping lines. You may need to clean up the dxf file in a 2D cad package.

SheetCam normally shows the tool paths as green lines. In simulation mode (Mode->simulation) it will run a simulation of the cutter movements but ti will not show you an image of the final part.
Hello, you mentioned I may need a 2d cad packagee to clean up the drawing?Who do you reccm? This is my first experience with this. What I see when I run the simulation in SC is alot of leadins and unwanted lines on the cut pattern. How can I correct this? Thanks again.
