Is there an option to place hold-in tabs manually for milling?
Yes - I almost always manually place my tabs. I make sure the milling operation that would be affected by the tabs is selected and then select Mode/Edit tabs. Then I take the mouse and click on the places I want tabs.
It’s been awhile since I’ve used them, but you might need to look for error messages if the tab’s programming and material thickness conflict: Lets say the operation is programmed to cut 5mm below the material thickness and your tabs are set to 3mm thick. Something like that.

Great, found it.
Thanks
I’f i program a job for the mill on a roughing pass, I put the tabs where i need them, then do an operation for a new tool for the finish pass, how I get the tabs in the same positions??
Seems the tabs are not persistent from roughing to finish??
Or am i doing something wrong??
After you have the two operations entered and have your tabs placed on the roughing pass operation, left mouse-click on the finish pass operation and then right-click on the drawing. A sub menu should pop up - Look for “Copy tabs from” and select the roughing pass operation.
That will copy the exact tab location/settings from the roughing op to the finish op. I think Les has thought of everything.

Got it, nicely done
