Does anbody have a download file for a older version of sheetcam.
i’m looking for a versions between 6.9.1 and 6.9.15.
i will then try to install the latest version that still works.
(i’m having missing dll. file erros and i can’t install visual c++).
but i can install version 6.1.69 and it works fine, but it’s pretty out dated 
.

Have you tried installing VC_redist.x86.exe from the SheetCam downloads pagehttps://www.sheetcam.com/downloads
What version of Windows are you using?
yes i tried that file, thats when i got undefined error 0x80240017.
it’s a windows 7 professional 32bit without internet.
i also tried other versions of visual c++ without succes.

net stop bits
net stop msiserver
ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

net start bits
net start msiserver.
i also tried installing just the dll. files that sheetcam said were missing.
all without succes.
i think i would need to update windows entirly, but mach3 won’t like that.
i’ve given up on trying to fix that issue.
if i can get a older version to work that is somewhat recent i’m good with that.
All of the 6.9.x series use VC2015 so your 6.1.69 is probably not far off the last that will run.
I try to maintain compatibility with older versions of Windows. I tested this with an XP machine and it worked so I’m surprised Win7 is a problem. I’ll see if I can find a copy of Win7 and try it.

I have installed both the stable and dev versions on my Windows 7 32 bit machine without any issues. I keep them both updated to the latest versions. Maybe your Windows 7 needs updating.
yes that is true windows on that pc windows has been running for more than 3 years without updating.
because it’s not connected to the internet (no cable or wifi).
the seller of the plasma table told me not the connect it to the internet or install any updates,
because mach3 will then have big issues.
Mine is connected to wifi and Windows 7 is up to date. I haven’t had any issues with Mach3 because of this. Not sure what issues you would have. It sounds like not being updated is causing issues for you now.
I would backup your Mach3 folder and let Windows 7 install updates. Just don’t upgrade to Windows 10 or you will have issues. I think you should be able to roll them back or do a system restore if you do run into problems after all.
about backing up mach3.
is it just a case of copying the mach3 map on a usb stick?
if i then need to re install mach3 i just replace the installed mach3 map with the back up?
Your profile and macros are the important part. Everything should be stored in the Mach3 folder. If you back that up you should be able to put everything back if necessary.
I don’t think you will have any issues with updating Windows.
okay weirdest problem ever…
i can’t get windows to install any updates to solve the c++ issue.
i then installed sheetcam V6.0.30 to just get cutting again for now.
problem is when i install V6.0.30 and DON’t install the license file i can post code without issue (with the 180 line limit).
but when i install the license file to post longer codes,
the G-code file is empty.
not completly empty, but just a few lines
like name of the part, post processor used,…
but no actual code for movements, and firing the torch.
i checked it also in notepad shows the same lack of code.
when i run simulation in sheetcam it gives a error about feedrate is zerro.
this is on my pc for the plasma table,
when i try the same license file on my pc at home (with internet)
with the latest sheetcam version.
the post processor button doesn’t do anything…
i can add part, add cutting operations,… but the green post processor button doesn’t do anything
is the license file corrupt?
when i bought the machine it came with sheetcam and mach3 and i payed for those.
Do you have a post processor selected on the computer that the button doesn’t work?
yes i’m on that pc now, funny thing i just noticed.
the button works fine up until i add a cutting operation to the drawing.
Maybe you’re in the wrong mode? Do you have the selection tool (arrow) on the toolbar selected? I know some modes lock certain things out.
after looking at similar issues on the forum, i’m starting to think it is a license issue.
because when adding a cutting operation everthing looks good.
is see the pierce points, green movement lines, …
but when i post the file on the pc at my shop the code file is almost empty
and on my pc at home it won’t even let me hit the post processor button…
could les maybe check my license file?

You could be right. Maybe try removing your license and see if you get short code to work. I think it’s limited to like 180 lines.

so then it would be most likely the license file being pirated?
