Hello all, I’m new to sheetcam,
I have a strange issue there is a dialog box that will not close. It says run-jog-midi left-right, I’m not sure how to take an actual screen shot on this laptop.
any phone camera photo will do
Hope this works. If I click the red x or reset nothing happens. I even did the nuclear option and uninstalled and reinstalled and it’s the same thing.
I guessing here, but that looks like it could be the sheetcam Mach plugin dialogue. I’m not even sure how to invoke it; does it popup upon launching sheetcam, or after a ‘Run post processor’ event ?
If you can get to menu Options-‘Plugin options’-Mach window, disable it.
According to the plugin, it runs only if Mach3/4 is detected as being installed on the same computer. I don’t use Mach, I can’t replicate this condition. Can you confirm that you have or had Mach3/4 installed on that computer ?
Perhaps someone on the forum that uses this plugin can advise.
Yes, I do have mach3 on the laptop, I’ll see if I can get to that plug in window and disable it. I have no idea why it occurred it just popped up when I opened sheet cam.
I think there is a button on the toolbar to toggle this window.
per @djreiswig , the button on the toolbar may be “M”, I see an icon as that symbol in the Mach plugin folder.
If the button is not showing, then consider editing the “sheetcam tng.ini” file in the settings folder (menu Help-“Open settings folder”), BUT be sure to close sheetcam after opening the folder (will open in Windows Explorer).
edit .ini… search for the lines-
[Plugins/Mach]
ShowRemoteCtrl=1
Enabled=1
flip the enabled= 1 to 0.
There must have been an install/uninstall sequence of sheetcam and mach that caused this odd state condition, or perhaps some mis-configured setup in Mach ??
As a last resort, or if the .ini file gets fouled due to editing, then rename the file to preserve it (just in case we need to refer to something), rename the .bak file, launch sheetcam and it will create a default .ini while taking you through the setup wizard.
