Hi its been a few years since i visited this site. Ive cut literally 1000’s of jobs with Sheetcam over the years and still use it over all other Cam software. I would love to see a feature where the last step-down pass in a contour operation can have a different specified offset than the previous passes. Effectively the finishing pass combined with the roughing cut (without retraction), to remove chatter marks and provide chip clearance on the opposite wall when metal milling or remove router tool layer marks when routing timber. Separating and programming individual roughing and finishing passes on complex drawings is very very time consuming as well as the tool retracting then re engaging as a separate new operation. Since I would normally use same feeds and speeds on most finishing passes as roughing (95% of jobs), this would be an amazing productivity tool (poor man’s finishing pass) when dedicated finishing pass settings aren’t required
I have often had that same thought.
