i have been importing svg files and getting good parts with no problems. i loaded a dxf and when i selected an operation and loaded a tool i get a big red x and a warning that there are no layer lines. So i loaded an svg file and got the same results. I then loaded an older job file, selected a different tool from the operation menu and got the same result. i am dead in the water. Help!

Do you see the drawing outlines in the graphic display? If so you probably just need to select the appropritae layer. In your cut operation use the 'Layer' dropdown to select the layer you want to cut.
