burns at begining

I have a burn at the beginning of job. it does the curve alright and stops imperceptibly leaving a burn then does the job fine. I'v tried to make changes to the settings but have not been able to find the the right settings. My best guess is "options" then "Application options" but nothing helps. Can some one tell me how to change the time the plasma stop after the curve and before the job?
