linuxcnc probotix and THCsd

My mind is going, not sure if I posted this or just thought about it.
Upgraded linux added wine, sheetcam tng and it works beautifully.
Put in the Proma sd. As long as I leave the THC unpowered the slgnal flows through and everything is good. When I put power to the THC it suddenly runs the z axis down. I am using a battery for clean power,( that was an issue my friend had with his Proma THC).
ANy thoughts?
