.hpgl 3D

Post by Liftlar83 »

Hello,

Can the post be modified for a ZUND G3 cutter to use it for routing and a drag knife?
I want to use it for pocketing, keyways and clipping.

Is there a possibility to set the feedrate in the .hpgl 3D post like in a standard g code?

Thank you in advance!

Do you have any documentation on the Zund implementation of HPGL? As long as the machine supports feed rate it can be added to the code.

Thank you for responding.

I send you the manual via email because of the size.

Give this a try. Save the attached file to any convenient folder on your computer then run SheetCam and go to Options->machine->post processor. Click on the 'import post' button. Using the box that appears, navigate to the post and open it.

Dear Les,

i tried your modified post with different speed value. -> it works but there is no movement in Z axis. I suppose it depends on the 2D commands PD.
Therefore I will modify your post, because i think i have to change the PD command in to MW for 3D move. This will only work in MA mode yet.
If you have an other idea, please let me know it.

OT: do you think the addin "drag knife" would work?

For example tool 2 is a router Ø 6mm and tool 3 a drag knife

...maybe we can try it on a sample

Best regards
