initial setup to start cutting and generating G code

I've been trying to read forums and watch YouTube on how to "for beginners" to setup sheet cam. I have a crossfire pro and using fire control. when I load my image I do not see the image in sheet cam. is there some way to setup sheet cam to where I can start cutting my own images I' created and fine tune from there? when I transfer to fire control I keep getting a validation error saying... no program speed found. this program will not be loaded. Please be sure to use the Langmuir systems approved post processor. I triple checked that i have the post processor that is needed but then again I am very new to this. any help would be appreciated
