Plasma peck drilling function issue

I'm trying to use the drill tool to make center punch marks with plasma. My tool selection doesn't look like the videos I see, and not like the people trying to help me on FB. My torch fires way too long. I need some help setting this drill function up. I need a "peck" but my torch fires for way to long. I get a gouge not a peck.
I'm using Sheetcam ver 7.0.20 and Mach 3
My only settings in the drill tool are min hole size and max hole size.
My torch fires way to long. not a peck, but a 2-3 second burst.

My pierce height is set at .12
Cut height is at .12
Pierce delay is at 0

On some plasma cutters the initial pierce is longer. After the post flow air is running, the pierce time is shorter. Try dry firing the torch before you start your code to get the air flowing and see if that works better.

I set up a test and had multiple holes, it does the same on every hole. first second and third holes are all the same, gouges.

That's probably a different post processor. Tell us more about your system.

What post processor is the person who sent you the other image using? I think CandCNC is the one that has the peck pierce programmed into their post. You would probably have to add those functions to your post to get that to work.
