Select & move multiple parts on material

Post by djreiswig »

Is there a way to select multiple parts in a job and move them together? Specifically, I have a standard nest on a 4x8 sheet. Sometimes the sheet is slightly smaller or larger. I cut from the corner opposite of 0,0, so I can easily rezero when I reuse the material later. The problem is, if the sheet is smaller, I need to nudge the job towards the left or bottom a certain amount. I can't see a way to do this.

Switch to nesting mode. Right-click->select all. You now have two options. You can drag the parts with your mouse or use the arrow keys to move the parts by the 'bump increment'. You can set the bump increment in right-click->grid options.

Don't forget about rotate multiple parts as well, that's a real timesaver - hold shift and mouse wheel, again set bump angle in grid options, 5 degrees works well for me.
The icing on the cake would be to hold down shift + crtl or something to get a reduced rotation  :P

I don't know, some people are never satisfied
The , and . keys (< and >) also rotate if you prefer the keyboard.
