second unwanted path

Post by Chris-Mcnicoll »

hi there i am trying to import a gasket that i have scanned into the computer, it appears in sheetcam as 2 seperate paths but the is only the 1 outline i want, im unsure how i have made it happen between inkscape and sheetcam.

new gasket.svg

is it due to the thickness of the lines when i traced it?
thanks

Did you use Inkscape's automatic tracing? It will put an outline on each side of the line.
In SheetCam switch to edit contours mode (Mode->edit contours), hold down the <ctrl> key and click on the outlines you don't want. Right-click and select move to layer->new layer.

If you were using Inkscape there is also a centerline option in the Trace bitmap dialog.
