Adding layers to the drop down menu.

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I can't find it.
Can you add layers to the drop down menu? When I import a drawing I have to :right click, move to Layer, naw layer, click on the pop up box, name layer, click ok. I really only use 3 different layer names; in, out, and engrave. Can I add those 3 to the layer menu? This way the proses would be ; right click, move to layer, pick the one I want, done.

Can you assign the layers in your drawing? If you r cad package doesn't allow you to use layers, you can also use colours as layers inSVG and dxf files.
