Hello and Happy New Year.
I recently replaced my former plasma machine with a HT PM 65. I just got is up and running on my table. The following are the components.
HyperTherm PM65
4'x4' home built table
Command CNC Bladerunner
DTHC
No Ohmic
I drew a test file with some small various shapes and I am using fine cut consumables on 11 Ga
Couple of issues. The torch moves to the first pierce location, does a touch off, torch ignites and then moves down, but instead of stopping at the set point of .060 it continues and crashes into the metal and the torch dismounts from the holder. It was working earlier today and I was making changes to the preset amps and ipm in order to improve the dross, but now this.
Attached are two things, the code and a video link showing the moves with the torch off. Wondering why it is moving through the file so sloooooly.

Any thoughts or suggestions are much appreciated.
Thank you,
Steve

Re: Z Diving & Slow torch Off Runs
The touch-off is controlled by CommandCNC, not SheetCam. I would guess that your touch-off switch offset is set wrong. Another possibility is that your THC is not working correctly. Does it do the same thing with THC disabled?
Looking at the code your feed rate is just under 4IPM, which seems pretty slow. Check the feed in your cut operation.
