Hi Steve,
Open the tool table and at the bottom, center is an option box - Automatically generate name. Uncheck that option, close SheetCam and reopen. Names should be restored.
I don't know how many tools you are copying and pasting, but I save my toolset (under File, Save toolset as) as a backup. To restore an installation, I Open toolset and then, if it's the default toolset, I select Save default toolset so it uses that toolset as default each time I open SheetCam.
