Hola .
Hi .
It would be very good that in the area of plasma cutting tools you would have the option to cut thick thicknesses the option of initial height of the perforated, this would be the one missing that is "height so that the torch rises for the splashing of the material "and cutting height.
This option would be very good for the durability of the consumable.

That is why the pierce height is higher than the cut height. If you raise the pierce height too much it won't pierce the material.
You can use a ramp pierce to move the torch horizontally away from the splash while it is piercing. I have good luck with this on thicker material.

Thank you very much for your reply .

But really the right thing is like in the drawing that I have attached and I think that Les should not find it very difficult to put this option that would be:

1º It is the height of initiation of the pilot arc that for example can be 3mm above the material.
2º It should be raised to 8mm above the material for splashing the material and protect the consumables.
3º It should go down to 1.5mm above the material that would be the height of cut and from there would enter the THC

In this link if you look carefully you see what I mean:

What you are looking for is called "puddle jump"

Some THCs have a built in setting for it.

It is possible to add the control via post processor and custom variables which is what I presume the edited post processor does.

I think that's what it should do. Hopefully. :)
