Scrap cut

Post by aeviaanah »

Ive used nesting software in the past that incorporates a programmed scrap cut. It is usually applied after nesting is complete. You would manually draw a line from outside of the sheet to the nearest part and using preset clearances a cut line is generated with those clearances applied. This is extremely useful for fitting scrap in the scrap bin. No wasted time manually scrap cutting when it can be programmed.

Ive used the remnant cutoff but does not quit behave as I am describing

I have tried to keep away from adding drawing tools to SheetCam but I may have to rethink this in the future.

Resist the force Obewon.

If using Mach3 you can use a button code to setup a cut function. Move to the start point press button then move to end point press the button and it creates its own Gcode to do the cut.

BUT now conversational Sheetcam I would buy (:-)

SheetCad now that is a slippery sloap. I would rather have SheetCamTurn.

Just a thought, (;-) TP

Happy May the 4th be with you!

Les, how about adding a scrap cut from XY values? Can be an added option in remnant cutoff.
