Post by Kerry » Fri Jan 11, 2008 8:58 pm

Greetings,

When I open a dxf file from AutoCAD that has text in it the text does not show up on the Sheet Cam screen. Any ideas what I might be doint wrong?

Thanks, :)

Kerry,
If you want to use test in sheetcam, you have to "explode" the test into elements. This can be done not with the normal explode command, but you must use Express Tools "text explode" command to make it work.

CAD and Text

I guess I'm the only person that didn't know that. For years I've been using corel for my text and then importing the letters into CAD. I'd rather do all the work in one program. Thanks for the tid-bit!!!!
