I just started having the issue this morning. Neither the material nor the grid shows up. When I import the SVG drawing, it will show up, but I can't click on it.
Please help! I really like this version.
NOTE: The stable version has no issues - works as expected.

Fixed. Even though I unistalled and re-installed, it didn't erase the "AppData" folder (C:\Users\***\AppData\Roaming\SheetCam TNG Development)
Once I deleted that and reinstalled, the grid and material started showing up.
