Naming Parts in Sheetcan

Post by Peter Homann »

Hi Les,

I'm creating a number of parts from the same dxf drawing. I've given each part
a meaningful name but if I reload the drawing the part name goes back to the
drawing name.

Is there a way to stop this?

Cheers,

Peter

Hi Pater,

Currently it always uses the drawing name. Does anyone else want the
option to not use the drawing name?

Hi Les,

Thanks for considering it. I'm creating 4 parts from the 1 drawing and it
would help with knowing which part is witch. If you do make a change, can you
use the part name for the file name to write when processing the part and
generating the Gcode.?

Cheers,

Peter

The ability to have a name other than the drawing would keep me from having to rename files. I hope Les can work it in in. Thanks for posting the request.
