Standard Sheetcam not Working!!!

Post by pure-power »

Well I can say after using the development version of TNG , and now paying for sheetcam standard , I have not been able to cut a darn thing on my plasma table... I can not get sheetcam to work to save my life...
Anyway I am using mach2 as post processor, I know my dxf files are good becuase I have cut them before in TNG.Keep getting errors in the G-code like (error) Can not do G1 with zero feedrate Line 13.. I have no Gcode knowledge and little CNC experience which doesn't help matters.. I know I have my feedrate set at 175 ipm in sheetcam so I don't understand why I get this error when i RUN THE POST PROCESSOR... Any help would be great , Thanks Dennis

isn't it a bummer when it (whatever it may be) doesn't work.
my suggestion is that you go to help > create a support file and send
same to les. that way he can see what your unique problem might be. he
is super in solving our problems. send all the elements.

Hi Dennis,

I can't understand you getting a 'Can not do G1 with zero feedrate'
error unless you have a zero feed rate or zero plunge rate. I tested the
sample you sent me in Mach and it ran fine. Did that actual job cause a
problem? I also sent you a TNG temporary license on the 25th so if all
else fails you could use that for production until we figure out what is
wrong.

By the way the outside leaves and flowers have broken outlines. If you
look closely at the start points you will see that the lines don't quite
meet up. SheetCam will not offset these outlines so the parts will come
out slightly under sized.
