I just wanted to say that this peirce works like a charm for saving nozzles. It really allows you to peirce beyond what the manufacturer rates you machine for. I have a powermax 600 and was trying out my first 3/8 cuts and when watching close with a welding helmet I could clearly see that no blow back was hitting the torch. Ididn’t realize the true benifit of it till I started cutting thicker stuff.
Thanks for letting me know. I don’t currently have a plasma so although I knew it should work in theory I didn’t know how well it would work in practice.
