Testing release of SheetCam for Linux

It doesn’t appear that there is any support from SheetCam at this point, so I doubt they’ll make a Linux update.

No support any more?

I haven’t kept up much since Les sold the business. If ever a one-man show did a great job of offering software, @Les_Newell did. If only it would have been open-sourced…

I downloaded v8 to trial and found that a small bug that kinda annoys me in v7 is still there, so I can’t see myself shelling out $400 USD (close to $600 CAD) for an “upgrade” that offers me… about nothing. (I can’t auto-nest unless existing pieces cut out of the sheet are worked around; I almost never cut up a full sheet before removing from the table, remnants to be used later. Complicated nesting happens in Aspire. I do my CAD in FreeCAD so the CAD doesn’t get me much either.)

7’s a good product, very glad it exists and I have installers and my license file for it saved locally.
