SVG vs. DXF

I see a lot of reference in other topics indicating that saving as a SVG instead of a DXF in inkscape is better.

Why?

Historically Corel’s dxf export has been a bit … quirky. Later versions are better and I spent quite a bit of time making SheetCam handle those quirks reasonably well. In most cases Corel’s svg export tends to conform to the specs more reliably.
