new machine - speed problems

I´m currently setting up a new CNC mill, and even if it´s powered by the same MACH3 version im using since years, it behaves different. :frowning:
I hope someone can help me with this.

All my programms start with the following lines:

N0010 (Filename: xxx.tap)
N0020 (Post processor: Mach3.scpost)
N0030 (Date:10.06.2022 Time:15:06:02)
N0040 G21 (Units: Metric)
N0050 G40 G90 G91.1
N0060 F1
N0070 G53 G0 Z-5
N0080 G53 G0 Y-10
N0090 M05 M30

My question is: Were can I edit the value for F in Line six / N0060?? My old machine moved “normaly” and seems to ignore this speed-setting, while my new machine really moves with 1mm/min only (unitl before other speed are specified later.)

Please let me know were I can edit this!

The F1 is only there because some versions of Mach won’t do a G0 move if the feed rate is zero. G0 moves should ignore the feed rate so I don’t understand why your machine is moving so slow.
If you want to change the F number, edit the post and look for function OnInit(). You should see something like this:

   post.Text (" G40 G90 G91.1\n F1\n")

You can change the F1 to anything you want.

Hi Less,

thanks a lot for the quick help! I have modified the line and will report in the coming days if the problem is solved.
My new machine moved with 60% of 1mm/min from the toolchange-pos to the starting point of the first process… No fun…
