Hello i need some help i built a cnc plasma table using a gecko g54o a minithc and a floating head design andand useing sheetcam.im useing 2 com ports 1 for g540 other for thc. i have tried a few different post processors but i cant get any to work.
So when i try to cycle on m03 torch comes down touches off then retracts but never stops until it crashes.that’s as far as i can get am i missing something?
Are you using the m03 macros that came with the minithc?
Note Denis included a sheetcam post-processor with the mini THC too.
Are you using g28.1 or g31 to do your touchoff?
There are several post processors that I have got to work with mach3 and THC in general, you will need to edit the settings though and note that they are metric, hence a retract of 25mm may not have the same meaning as 1"… Unless you have told sheetcam your setup is metric or imperial… Hence have a look at the units your machine is probing in and your sheetcam setup.
There may be some benefit in posting your mach3 profile to have a look at the settings along with the minithc manual
