Hi Les,
New to Sheetcam, was using DeskCNC prior to machine meltdown and rebuild. Now have Mach3 and between SC and M3 I have had an intense learning curve. I was moving files back and forth with a USB stick between my CAD/CAM system and my knee mill when my CAD/CAM computer gave the blue screen of death. The hard drive is marginal but after a lot of fooling around, I was able to boot the system to start setting up another computer. When I look for the license to transfer from the original, it is not there. Has this been reported before? I did some searching and did not see anything previous.
Thanks,
Lou
Where are you looking for the license? If you run SheetCam and go top Help->open settings folder you should find your license there.
Holy Cow that was fast!!
First off, Merry Christmas.
On the original computer before the meltdown, It told me in the Help drop down that my copy was licensed. After the crash it is asking for a license. I looked through the folders and subfolders of SC and did not see the License File.
I may have deleted some processes when the system started to bog down via task manager, could I have killed the License in doing so?
Thanks,
Lou
It sounds like your license has been deleted or corrupted. I’ll email you a fresh copy.
Well I am very sorry. I did not think that I was able to re-use the same license as it was some what assigned to the crashed hard drive. I guess I should have at least tried to reuse it. I do not know how the license protocol operates. When I looked at the purchase email with the original license, it states to keep a copy of the license for backup. Is the license you just sent the same as the one that I had?
Thanks,
Lou
Yes, It’s exactly the same file.
does anyone know how to remove sheetcam and reinstall so you get the full evaluation back dont have the ability to purchase yet and still trying to learn software
