I'm not real sure on this, it's been a very long time since I've done any coding, but maybe you need a line something like this:

If operationName = "Laser engraving" then

The operationName may need to be the entire line that the post.Text prints out.

My best guess, Steve

I'm going to assume that it does load, just doesn't save when you exit the program. So after you open the new toolset, are you saving it as the default toolset?

So in continuing my investigation as to why trying to display the Tool Table crashes Sheetcam Linux, I ran Sheetcam in terminal mode and got the following errors. The first two came when starting Sheetcam, the 3rd one showed up when clicking on the Tool Table button. (SheetCamTNG-dev:4299): Gdk-CRIT...

Still learning on the Linux Sheetcam. The one thing I noticed today that may bear on my original post problem. When I save a tool table to the desktop on my Windows machine, it is saved with a Carriage Return at the end of each line. When I save a tool table on my Linux machine to the desktop it is ...

Yea, I also was unable to download a copy of the Linux version. I posted it on here, but so far no reply.
Did you get a CD with your system? It has a copy of sheetcam on it.

Another thing to consider when converting from the CandCNC mach3 to CandCNC CommandCNC. The cutting rules in Mach3 are different from the CommandCNC cutting rules. So if you import a tooltable from the windows version to the Lunix version, you will have strange problems when using the cutting rules. ...

Just today I discovered the tooltable file you use in Mach3 is the same file you can use in the Linux system. Just copy the file from your windows system and paste it in the "/home/plasma/SheetCAM-CandCNC/TOOLSets/" directory on your Linux system. Then import the toolset into Sheetcam and ...

Getting the overcut to work as an undercut (negative number) does work, but getting the timing right is almost impossible. There are many things that affect the speed of the cut. The varying speed thus affects the length of the undercut needed. I have managed to get close, so instead of a divot, I g...

As a followup, over on the CandCNC forum, there is another person having the same problem, so perhaps it is a little more widespread problem. As a work around, if I double click on one of the tools in the tool window, a tool editor window opens and you can uncheck the "auto name tools button&qu...

Sheetcam for Lunix

I'm just in the beginning stages of converting from Mach3 to CommandCNC. I'm running a Dell Optix 755 with Xbuntu 14.04 LTE operating system. What's happening to me is after I have started Sheetcam (V6.1.35) everything seems to work fine. But if I click on the Tool Table Editor icon on the left side...

Good morning Harry, Welcome to the world of Plasma cutting, you're going to have fun. In order to give you good answers, it would help to know a little more about your equipment, such as which plasma cutter, what kind of table and controller, things like that. That stuff all makes a difference on wh...

Are you talking about changing the lead in position assigned within Sheetcam? That's set up under Operations/Contour method. Inside offset, Outside offset, or No offset.
