Just for update, the issue is caused by having two S codes in sequence - the system cannot handle this an the codes are ignored. The S codes need an M22 call between but the M22 is a delay macro and will cause a pause in motion. I'm still fighting the issue - i need THC off but only in cut rules - y...

THC on or off??

Having an issue with a job and my THC (CandCNC) I have "min length for THC set to 80mm in SheetCam, I also have a small shapes rule that slows down and turns off the THC then back on after. The part i am fighting is a detail of a dogs ear - a sort of U shape, cut all the way round but on the re...

Hmm, seems like it does work but is not shown on screen??

I tried a simulation and the chain link popped up, come out of sim and it disappears - is that normal?

Chain cutting setup?

Can anyone tell me how to get chain cutting going please? I have a sheet with two very large washers on it - i cut the inside holes first on one layer then cut the outsides, put the end/start adjacent to each other and set a max chain length of 100mm - the gap is only about 50mm., I was expecting th...

Seems like it was cutting only the over-cut and not the job.

Very odd.

Thanks les,

I have posted over there but its not the best place to get results in a hurry :(

Need to get job done by Monday evening.

I will also have to cut and paste the result as my post is heavily modified for my machine.

Sheetcam bug or some other reason arcs won't cut cam or cut

Wasted a lot of valuable time on this :( I need to cut four arcs - open lines so no offsets or lead-ins etc. The code tests perfect in Sheetcam simulation but when loaded into the plasma/mach3 it only cuts four very sort lines, maybe 3mm long? I have attached the code file below but I am not upto re...

Code snippets being inserted at wrong place?

I want to insert a code snippet in a multi-process job that will run the tool to my park position (M883) and then pause for me to dive in and change the work clamps etc for the final processes. It seems to be posting the code wrong though as shown here: N24280 G01 X116.2500 Z-5.200 N24290 G02 X117.7...

Thanks Les, I thought it was odd too as the slot is indeed 5.4 wide so in the end I shut everything down and rebooted - this seems to have cured it! I had been importing and testing stuff all day so maybe something in CAD or CAM got a little fed up :) Anyway its sorted now. While your there, is ther...

Problem with simple job?

I'm trying to mill the little divot in picture 1 into the side of a part.

I am using a 5mm tool.

If i have 0.8mm finish allowance it works.

If I have my normal 0.1mm finish allowance it fails.

The slot is 5.4mm wide so I can't see why the issue???
