Re: Mach4-swiftcut post processor
Could you set up a job ready to post process and confirm the tool number is wrong. Then save the job (File->save job as). If you let me have a copy of the job file I'll take a look and see if I can figure out what is wrong.

Re: Mach4-swiftcut post processor
Sorry, I should have looked at the thread title. Looking at the post, you should have a 'Tool type' option in your tool definition. That controls the tool number.

Re: Z action being added, this is new
Have you updated your post processor recently? If not it may be worth installing the latest post from CandCNC.

Re: Turning module
Sorry for the late reply. I just realized what is wrong. In the passes tab of your cut operation it is worth setting up a lead in and lead out. A good starting point for both lead in and lead out is an arc radius of 1mm (0.04") and a line length at least equal to your cut depth. Set the angle t...

Re: Bug and Requests
The reason why I have been holding off is that proper tip-up avoidance is hard. What I did is a hack that only works in some situations. It just happens to work well for your specific application.
I don't know what is going on with the profiles. I'll continue testing and see what I can find.

Re: Bug and Requests
Hey Les, hope all has been well! We've been crazy busy over here and I haven't had time to bother you with requests and bug fixes. I'm sure you have enjoyed my silence lol. I was beginning to think it was something I said  Did you ever get a chance to look into this? It looks like the profiles...

Re: First correct answer wins....
Sorry for the delay in answering but you should not need any extra software. In SheetCam go to Options->machine->post processor and select the burny25 post processor. Next change the 'Output file extension' setting to nc instead of tap.

I'm sorry but I have never used a Burny controller, so I don't know. Hopefully the Burny manual should tell you.

Re: Turning module
It looks like the taper from the tool post angle is caused by the path generator appying the tool path angle the wrong way around. Reversing the turrent angle generates the correct tool paths but simulation will get upset. I'll have to fix this. The outer diameter and inner diameter are roughly the ...

Re: Turning module
It's starting the path 1 tool radius in from the start point and ending 1 tool radius before the end point.
Looking at the code I specifically offset the start and end points but now I have no idea why I did it!

Re: Turning module
Sorry for the delay in replying. I just emailed you a temporary license. The generated code should be in diameter mode. The slope had me puzzled for a moment but it is caused by your tool definition. You have a side angle of 0 degrees with a clearance angle of 2 degrees. When generating tool paths S...
